The evolution of space flight and commercial aviation has encountered significant challenges due to fuel constraints and the inefficiencies associated with overcoming air friction and gravity. Traditional propulsion systems either suffer from high fuel consumption and environmental impact (jet engines) or are impractical for commercial space travel due to cost and complexity (rocket engines). These challenges are related to “efficiency” concerns, and we address such concerns at Anubis Engines Corporation through research and development of new engine designs. Our research ideas are centered around propulsion technology with an engine developed by the CEO (Nazim Ahmed) and CTO (Prof. Emre Tokgoz) that has a hybrid nature with the inclusion of engineering and scientific principles that incorporated mechanical and aerospace engineering, data analytics, simulation, optimization, and AI techniques. This patented engine’s design has a similar structure to the spacecrafts that we see in the “futuristic” movies such as Star Wars and Star Gate! The innovative idea behind the engine we develop at our corporation is to seamlessly transit between atmospheric flight and space travel. This transition is facilitated through a novel retrofit package adaptable to conventional turbojet and turbofan engines, incorporating specialty valves, actuators, and injectors to enable operation across all flight regimes with minimal modifications.

The designed engine leverages specialized turbines for atmospheric propulsion and space flight. This dual-use capability combined with specialized pumps and motor help to save fuel with low Earth orbit and lunar mission capabilities. This new technology as a new frontier for space and commercial flights is a promising solution for safer and economical access to space and point-to-point travel on Earth. This propulsion system is a step towards controlling celestial destinations, drastically reducing travel times, and making space accessible to the broader public. This engine development of the CEO and CTO marks a significant advancement in propulsion technology with the corresponding patent (approved by the United States Patent & Trademark Office) offers a sustainable solution to the longstanding challenges of space and atmospheric travel.

Simulation is one of the strongest tools for finding optimal values for decision makers. Testing a model’s prototype by using simulation software and utilization of such data to design mathematical models to identify efficiency solutions of an engine requires technical expertise and a proper evaluation of the developed solutions. Our technological solutions at Anubis Engines Corp. are designed around these approaches that are also incorporated into a patent with numerical efficiency results attained. Smart technological solutions require historical data collection on the systems and knowledge of such data allowed us to use data analytics skills to be able to develop solutions towards success. Optimization is strong for determining solutions for complex systems; however, data analytics is helpful in determining design parameters by incorporating the meaningful insights of the designed engine components. Looking at engine solutions from different angles and identifying their specific roles require significant time to be spent on each parameter’s role on the overall system and knowledge of data analytics allows us to achieve such design.

AI plays a significant role in the design and development of smart systems with its possible use in many different ways including but not limited to analyzing data for smart decisions. Pairing AI with its ability to rule hardware can result in significant ways to control systems in a smart way. Given that there are “features” that impact the performance of an engine that includes but not limited to key performance indicators, AI is helpful in many ways to support systems. Integration of data analytics, simulation, and AI techniques can play a significant role in an engine’s design.

An engine’s performance and efficiency cannot be attributed only to its internal mechanisms interplay and mechanical design; Its manufacturing also plays a significant role in the success of the engine. Our group at Anubis Engines Corp. produce manufacturing solutions with a knowledge of advanced manufacturing and its strengths in applications. We keep advanced manufacturing skills in mind during the development of research solutions and progress ideas along the line of incorporating advanced manufacturing in our research and development.
